How much does this cost me?
Nothing. Free for buyers. Free for dealers to list. There is no fee to search or to send a request, and no account needed.
Who actually sells me the bus?
A dealership. Every bus on this site is listed by a commercial bus dealer who sets the price, answers your questions, and handles the sale. CommercialBuses connects you with that dealer.
What happens when I make a request about a bus?
Your enquiry goes only to the dealer selling this bus. When you send a request, we connect you and the dealer follows up. We never sell your details. We send your request only to the dealer who has the bus you asked about.
Is the bus still for sale?
Each listing shows its last known status and the date we last checked: listed on dealer's site, sold or withdrawn, or status unknown. A bus can sell between checks, so we confirm availability when you ask.
Why can't I see which dealer has the bus?
Dealers list with us on the condition that their name and contact details are not published. When you make a request about a bus, we send it to that dealer and they contact you.
What if I can't find the bus I need?
Tell us what you need on the request form. Buses sell and new inventory arrives all the time, and a request tells us what to look for. A person looks through dealer inventory and replies by email.
Will I get calls from many salespeople?
No. Your request goes to the dealer selling the bus you asked about, not to every dealer in the country. We don't sell your details or send you other offers.
Can I buy a bus from another state?
Yes, and most commercial bus purchases work this way. Tell us where it needs to end up and the dealer can talk you through delivery.
I'm a dealer. How do I list my buses?
List your inventory free. When a buyer asks about one of your buses, we send the request straight to you. Send us your website address, your inventory feed (XML or JSON), or a CSV or Excel export. You don't re-enter anything, and there is no exclusivity.
Do dealers pay to list?
No. Listing is free. Add your inventory free and get more leads.
Where do the buses come from?
Dealer inventory from across the U.S. Coverage varies by bus type and region. Each listing comes from a participating dealer's own inventory source, and we refresh it from that source.
Is CommercialBuses a broker or a dealer?
No. CommercialBuses is an inventory-search service. The dealer continues to represent the vehicle, controls its price, and closes the sale. CommercialBuses does not take title, hold buyer funds, negotiate the vehicle sale on behalf of either party, or present itself as the seller of third-party inventory.
What kinds of buses are listed?
School buses, Type A school buses, activity buses, shuttle buses, cutaway buses, transit buses, charter buses, motorcoaches, wheelchair-accessible and paratransit buses, limo buses, and double-deckers, in new and used condition.
